It is said that while people come and go, their memories remain in our hearts forever. This has been on my mind this week and I wanted to take a moment to offer my deepest sympathy to a lovely American expat, Sandy who lost her father last week. It is so difficult to be far away from family at deeply emotional times like this and my heartfelt condolences go to her and her family as they mourn his death.



I also send my deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Nina Peltonen who is to be buried this week in Finland.




My thoughts and prayers are with all of those close to her as they struggle to come to terms with what has happened to her. The murder case against her partner Janne Tapio Tuomela will continue here in Sweden this week. The authorities are yet to decide where her young sons will be placed but I hope that soon Nina herself will be put to rest.




I can't tell you how deeply touched I have been by the emails from her family and friends in Australia and realise there are no words to even imagine what they are going through at this moment. What is very obvious is that she was well loved.
